My husband is a Firemetic

I also have a husband with crazy hours, he is a Firemetic in Tampa. He works 24 on and 48 off and every 3 weeks he gets a week off! Try and keep that straight!! I have a 2 yr old son that I stay at home with and I love every second of it. There are days that it's harder than others....just trying to keep my son on a semi normal schedule is hard enough. When he wakes up he looks for his dada and when he goes to sleep he looks for him too, since he's not here everyday or night we try to talk on the phone as much as possible. I think the next step will be a webcam so we can see dada in the morning or at night time!!

Hi Tiffany, I totally know what you mean about trying to keep a 2 yr old on a schedule that somehow allows for dada to be gone or be involved. My hubby rotates three 8 hr days and three 16 hr nights with three days off in between each. My son nevers knows when he wakes up from his nap or in the morning if daddy will be there. I just tell him that daddy is driving a firetruck. He understands that much. I really wonder who comes up with these crazy shifts though. Anyway, thanks so much for joining the group! Melissa
