Topic of the Week - Internet Education
What would you think about your child participating in free public education offered over the internet? This option is now available to Okies. If it were offered in your state, would you want your teen to participate?

I would not want my teen to participate. They need the social skills and social interaction they get in school for the real world (just my opion).

We don't have that in our state, but, if we did, I don't think my child would express an interest.

When I showed Daniel the mailer I said, "I'm not saying you have to do it, or I want you to do it, I just want you to know your options."

He very quickly said, "No. Why would I do that when I can do what I'm doing now, which is generally what I want to do?"

Good point, Daniel. But he knows it's there now if he gets a sudden compulsion to have assignments and deadlines and be told what to learn.
