Painting around baby...

Is it okay to paint our kitchen with our new baby in the house? We always keep the house well ventilated, but weren't sure if we could paint with our 7 week old in the house. I was going to keep her upstairs while my husband paints - would this be okay?

I don't know if that is a good idea. Maybe you could spend a day at a friends or grandparents. You aren't suposed to be around alot of paint while pregnant so I wouldn't have a new born around it. Hope you figure something out.

I suppose if you have a good quality paint and the windows are open and fans running and stuff like that, it should be okay to have her upstairs...and since it's the kitchen and not her bedroom where she could be bothered by it then it should be okay...although, I would prefer to know for sure, so I'd call my pedi's office and ask them about it before doing anything right now. She is awfully young and you never know what she could be allergic to at this stage.
