TOW; teens with drivers licenses
Does anyone's teen drives? Did you put them on your auto insurance policy, or do they get one on their own. Any restrictions as to passengers, good website referral information for parents, be home at a certain time, etc.

My teen is taking a driving course on line, and is interested in driving. Never a dull moment!

My teen just got his license a couple of months ago. He is currently on our insurance (but gives us money towards it) until he is 18. He is not allowed to have anyone in the car with him unless he has permission, I have let him take his girlfriend home and there have not been any problems. He is to be home at 10PM, unless he has permission to stay out (which he doesn't like staying out late anyway). I think my state has a curfew of midnight for teens to be off the road, but I think that is really late.

I also have him call home if he will be leaving one place to go to another, this way we know where he is. He has been respectful of these rules and has never argued about it.

Daniel is still on his learner's permit. We've got some more night driving, heavy traffic driving and parallel parking practice to do before he gets his license.

He doesn't have to go on our insurance until he gets his license and can drive alone.

I was told that my State (Fl) automatically puts them on the parents insurance whether they get their permit or not.
