My name is Beth. I'll be 44 this year. I'm Mom to 2 1/2 year old Sarah, and (step)Mom to 29, 27, and 21 year-old Kim, Karen, and Kate. (step)Grandma to Audrey (6), Noah (i9 mo), Leo (3 mo), and a player to be named later (September).
We consider ourselves one big (generally) happy family. My husband and I have been married almost 10 years which means I married into 3 teenage girls (well,one was a pre-teen). It's been a trip - but we wouldn't change it.
Sarah has been an amazing miracle and we worry that we will spoil her to death. Thankfully, the grandkids are helping with that.
I'm in Kansas City and have found it hard to find Moms to relate to. I do miss my professional career (IT management), but I wouldn't trade it. I am in a Mom's club here but they are pretty traditional and I'm pretty sure they think I'm a real weirdo (of course, this is true on some levels). But our family certainly is not as traditional as they are used to, and I am as old as many of their own mothers.
So, that's a lot of writing for an introduction, but I've been reading some of your posts and I'm excited to meet you.

Glad to meet you!I am a 46 YO mom to 2 boys ages 7 and 4..and a Stp mom to a 30 year old boy ( whose wife is pregnant) and a 25 yo old girl whose has a daughter of her own-OLDER than my oldest!! SO I know aall about non traditional-

| WE SOUND LIKE WE HAVE ALOT IN COMMON I'M 45, W/A LITTLE GIRL LIZZIE , THAT TURNS 3 NEXT WEEK. I ALSO HAVE 4 OLDER DAUGHTERS. KATIE 23, LAURA 21, MELISSA 18, AND JESSICA 17. Wow - good to get in touch w/similar folks. I'm in some Mom's groups here and don't really fit in.

Hi Im Angela, 40 year old mom to Annabella 16 mos & Mikey 14 years. I have been isolated since my group of mom friends found out I was prego... It was like I was moving or something. I did Mom's club w/Mikey, & find playgroups now hard to relate to. We feel Annabella is our little miracle as well, & we after 17 years of marriage are now better friends than ever. She brings light to all of us, even my sometimes moody teenager!
It's funny when you talk of your non traditional family, as I may have felt that way as a 25 year old mom, & couldnt imagine relating to someone like me! And now, here I am! I could provide alot of insight to those girls (cant we all) but it wouldnt be well received anyway! Looking forward to getting to know all of you,
