My 27 month old duaghter went pee pee on the for the past two days, she had a few accidents but she would tell me when she had to go. Or I would wait 20 mins after she drank something and then ask her if she needs to go and she goes in and sits and she does pee. YIPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just wonder how many accidents she will have and how long it will take untill she is totally trained. Poop is another story well see what happens. Any advise is welcome please!!! Thanks!

My daughter is 28 months old and we have been potty training for about a month now. She has been in regular underwear for about 2 or 3 weeks and she does great. She lets me know for the most part when she has to go but she will still have the occasional accident. She still wears pull ups for nap and bed but usually wakes up dry from her nap. I think it probably takes at least 2 or 3 months with consistently going on the potty before the accidents stop completely. She gets more upset with herself than anything. She just started pooping on the potty now too. Yay!!! Try using regular undies if you haven't yet. They get very excited about them and do not want to dirty them. And if they have an accident in them it is more uncomfortable for them because it sticks to them and they don't like that feeling. Good luck!!!!

Thanks ladies, that is what I did right away was the Dora panties, but today she had a few accidents, I watch another little girl and they were playing so I think she got distracted. I just have to keep reminding her to go on the potty!! Now I have a guestion, we are traveling on thrusday to my sisters about 4 hour drive in the evening around 7pm should I just use the pull ups fro the travel time. I know she is going to be so excited and busy busy with her cousin I hope she will still tell me when she needs to go. Her cousin in 4 and potty trained so maybe seeing her go will help as well. Thank you!!!

I definitely think you should just go with the pull ups for the trip. Just explain to her that she's only wearing them because it's such a long ride. I would stop often for a potty break though. I realized my daughter understands more than I thought she did. Sometimes just explaining things in simple terms for them can really make them understand whats going on. Take panties with you though and put them on her during your visit. Only let her wear the pull ups in the car. You definitely don't need messes to clean up left and right. Good luck!

Another thing to try, we bring a portable potty chair in the car, just in case we are out in the middle of nowhere and my daughter needs to go. It's saved us a few times at local parks where we are playing and they (for some odd reason) don't have a restroom.
