Welcome Denise!
How exciting to have twins! My husband and I are getting ready to have "virtual twins" (in adoption speak) our daughter is 2 from China and we are currently working on bringing home a little boy that will only be 8 mos younger than she is. He is also form China.
You say you've been here almost 2 years, if you don't mind me asking where are you from?

Hi Cathy!
Wow! I'm still open to adoption if God has that in my future! God bless you for opening your home to these precious little ones.
I'm from Cape Town South Africa. Got married to a Bulgarian living in Tx. And moved here without ever seeing the place..knew it was God's will for my life. I have been tremendously blessed by my husband & now my twins. It does get hard not having any family close by, or any friends..I don't get out much to make any! :-)
Keeping the faith

From South Africa! I've only known one other person briefly, from South Africa. I tend to meet people from around the world.
Where in TX are you? My husband has family in Amarillo and Austin. We live in WA state.
Adoption is awesome! I'm adopted also. We are hoping to adopt at least 2 more! Another little one (girl) and one older (boy) 6-12 yrs old. God has placed it on our hearts to adopt from India next time.
I have a couple of blogs set up for our kids and one for going to Africa. If you'd like to see.

I'm here in Houston. It took a whole year to get use to the place! :-) But after a short trip back to Cape Town I realized that Houston was home for me now. I was content at the end of our vacation & was looking forward to coming back to Houston again.
I'll take a look at your blogs in a little bit. The twins are keeping me busy today!
By the way what is it like to live in Washington?
Have you been watching the Florida Outpouring? I watch every night! The Lord has truly touched me through watching & i feel that my faith has really increased...

Washington is awesome! I absolutely love it here! I'm from Los Angeles, CA originally and felt like a fish out of water there.
Seattle is more my speed. We live just outside of Seattle (35 miles) actually. A little more country, which I like. I've been here 9 years now.
I'm not familiar with the Florida Outpouring. What is it exactly?
I now what you mean about being kept busy with the little ones. it's my daughter's nap time now and have at least another hour before she wakes up. Yay! That means a little rest for me :)

You can check out the Florida Outpouring on God Tv.. It starts at 7pm ET. You can go online..just type in us.god.tv & click on Florida Outpouring. Many people have been healed & touched through the presence of God!
My twins need to go for a nap soon...for the past few days they've had a terrible virus. And life has been crazy! Today they're kind of bored! And I'm at a loss how to entertain them. They're getting older & need different stimulation & I need to brush up on what I can do with them. They love watching their baby Dvd's but I'm trying to get them to not love it so much...maybe a losing battle! :-)
I havent had time to rest as they are on different sleep schedules today! I'm going to try to put them down together later & see if they'll sleep...Please Lord!
Still have a lot to clean around here...the life of a SAHM!! :-) |

Welcome Denise,
I will be happy to fellowship with you if it's feasible. My son is 14 months old and I'm originally from NY and have been in the area 3 years. I've been saved for 14 years and love the Lord. |
