i know what you mean, mine is about 8.5 months, she is a little ball of energy, but we cant go to the park for very long because she cant quite walk yet, and i hate to keep her cooped up all day.

my son is 6months and we play alot of games, with toys, read books, watch one of his movies(he only has 2) but we switch it up everyday...each day a new set of toys and new set of books and each day a different movie...and once or twice a day we go outside to either go on a walk with our dog or play on the porch in and out of his little pool(now that its hot) or go to the park for a stroll just the 2 of us...he just never knows what we are going to do...some days he just has had it with everything I try

Give her a few plastic dishes, pots and pans and a wooden spoon to play "music" with.....my kids loved this!

lol, i tried that with my daughter, she chews on the spoon, and ignores the other things, and if i dont give her a spoon, she throws the pots or tupperware.... she has only been given pots or pans once because of that.
though we do sometimes watch her barney tape, we only have one, and so i know every song! and we dance and sing (which means i do) i look like an idiot, but she has fun. or i put her in her walker, and i sit on one side of the room, then push her across and then she runs back to me. she looooves that game. she laughs hysterically everytime.
those are really the only things though, walks sometimes work, but she always falls asleep... which isnt always a good thing. and i did find out that she loves the pool, i just got a very small one, and i put a few inches of water in, and she splashes around. or if it isnt nice out i put her in the bathtub, she likes either one just as much.

when i write it out, it sounds like i have so much to do... but really for about 70 or 80 percent of the day i am at a loss for activities. we even tried gymboree, but its once a week and sooooo expensive. i need more mom with 9 month olds in my area! lol, hope i helped a little.

Put on a CD and take some pots and pans and let her explore. You can even make other instruments for her to play with. Also you can take a see through scarf and play peek a boo. Bubbles are fun and you can get a small kiddie pool for her to splash in.

I kept my little ones busy when they were that age with a jumper --- also called, I think, a johnny jump-up. It attaches to a door frame. My babies loved it. It kept them busy and was good excercise for them. We also read lots of board books and played on the floor with soft toys.
