question
Do you think it was wrong to put my friends child in time~out?? He does not listen at all, and it was driving me crazy that his mother did nothing about it, so finally he threw a babydoll at a child so I put him time~out, and he sat but he was screaming, so she walked over and he kept trying to get up, so I said if you walk away he will stay there. I just think I was taugh different about we parent. Any advice?

Did you talk to her about it at all? If it were me, I would understand it if right after you did it, you explained what you were doing and why. Since you did the discipline, you owned it for the completion. Of course putting him in time out isn't that bad, so I don't think it should be a problem. Besides, she may not have seen him hit her.

If it were me, I'd tell the mom what her son did and let her deal with it. If she doesn't, then tell her that you'll have to leave and to let you know once he settles down. Disciplining someone else's kid is touchy unless you are the babysitter or caregiver assigned at that time.
