Well last Thursday I had to take my 2 year old to the doctor he had been throwing up and running fevers anywhere from 101-104 and not eating or drinking. We found out that he had a ear infection and strep throat so he is now on antibiotics. Also she brought up his speech again and it hasnt improved since he turned 2 so she wanted us to go see a ENT for speech delay. We have an appointment on June 30th, so we will see what he says, we know he already has a slight hearing problem.
My 3 1/2 month old is doing good, adjusting to mommy working again and having to drink from a bottle. He has found his thumb and loves it, he puts all his fingers in his mouth and chews on them, he is trying to teeth, and drouling every where. He also is rolling onto his side and soon will be rolling over, he also scoots on his back on the floor.

Hi Rita! Great to hear from you! I'm so sorry to hear Andrew is sick. Man, that's a tough illness too... did he get it from daycare? Hope Paul doesn't get it!
The itty bitty guy isn't so itty bitty anymore! He's rolling and scooching and everything! OMG! They grow up too fast.
Best of luck with the ENT... just wanted to let you know, we are seeing great progress in a short amount of time with speech therapy. Jake has popped out with phrases over the weekend. I swear my doc was right...He will be talking before 3! LOL
Kids change overnight! Once Andrew gets his ears straightened out, he will probably start yakking like crazy! Good luck with that, and keep us posted!

No Andrew didnt get sick from daycare, he doesnt go yet, he starts Aug 18th. We arent sure where he got the strep throat from, but ear infections are very common in young children, this is only his 2nd one.
We also hope Paul doesnt get sick, so far so good. Yeah he isnt so small anymore. He has very long legs and has been wearing 6mths pjs and pants since 2 months old, and in a month or so he will be too long for that, he also has very big feet, he has been wearing 6-12 month socks for 2 months now and they are almost too small.
Andrew loves to be on the floor when Paul is down there, I am sure he cant wait for him to start crawling and then walking, since he walked at 8 mths old independently.
We are curious to see what the ENT says about his speech and if he deems him delayed or not. I really dont want him labeled but I want to get him help and talking at his age level or above, and have anyone beable to understand him. |
