I know I have been missing and I appologise for this. This was a group I thought would be very Helpful for Every one considering and also doing an International Adoption.
Well Our Journey has begun. We just came back from Moscow and have met our Daughter Meghan. This is trip 1 out of 3 for Russian Adoption.
Our experience was the most exciting and over powering feeling very hard to describe, we had spent months and months doing paper workk and waiting then the call comes and tell you 'IT'S TIME' .
All of a sudden your running around getting things ready and trying to deal with your emotions at the same time.
Trip 1 When you get to Moscow you are met by a Translator and a Driver they take care of you the whole time your there. We arrived on a Sunday so we were unable to go to the Baby Home till Monday and as you can imagine it was all we wanted to do. (Monday Morning )comes we are taken to the Ministry of Education for more paper work - This is the official acceptance of a child as they put it.
Then we start on our 2 hour trip to the Baby Home to meet our Daughter It was the best Day of our Lives, Actually holding her was the most precious moment. It now is real and she will be comming home with us very soon. You have more paper work there and meet with her doctors and director of Baby Home and get as much Information as possible. Tuesday. You are required by Russian law to have a medical so this was done in the morning taking a couple of hours. Then off to play with our Daughter This is what we waited for every day.
On this trip is all the paperwork they need for Baby Home and inland requirements and organizing her Passport Trip 2 Comming in about 2 weeks Court and Adoption Of course I will be on to fill you all in.
I know it all seem complicated and it did to us too but now that Trip 1 is over we see how and why they do things. Now I can honestly say from my Hearth it was all worth it
