i was doing good when i had my baby i only gained 25 lbs and it was all from the baby and resulting fluids i wasnt thin to begin with at 175 though i dont look it. the problem is weighing my 6 month old recently i discovered im 189. i have low energy lately and i have arthritis in my left hand. and severe migraines. along with a baby, our complex does have a nice fitness center but getting the time to go there and exercise is difficult not to mention my hubby who is also trying to lose weight and he travels alot. he gained a bunch of weight from medications doctors had him on and he has depression from ptsd. my main issues are energy and i have depression from teenage years. does anyone know any good at home exercises i can do? anything energy boosting stuff. my hubby is a former body builder from the army so we have stackers, no2, and protien powder and ensures. |

Have you tried doing any step classes at home. You can buy the step at walmart very inexpensive and can get some dvd's that are helpful. However, the fastest way to loose the weight is to do high indurance workouts that make you sweat a lot. |

walk... u can always make time for it....with the baby and your hubby. morning walk, after dinner walk. drink lots of water cut out sodas. don't just drink protein shakes you only want those after a workout. but including the whole faily is a boost. instead of watching tv go walking. i live in a stupid neighborhood with no sidewalks and to get to them the road is narrow and curvy so it is dangerous to push a stroller. i wish i could just leave the house and walk. if your hubby could when he is home wake up half an hour early and go to the fitness center. offer to switch off with him or if it isn't busy take the baby during nap time in the stroller. 3 months ago we stopped going to fast food restaurants (not only for us but to teach our kids to choose other foods) I just weighed myself and found i weigh 7 lbs more than i was when i got preggo. so i am now on a mission :) Good Luck |

I applaud you for starting your excercises. I was at 165 before I had my daughter and I went up to about 180-185. Some how I lost the weight and gained it all back again. My struggle was also finding time to exercises especailly in the winter when it's snowing in IL. My husband exercises every day and I always felt like it just wasn't fair that he could lose the weight so fast. He gave me a book to read by Valerie Bertinelli and I was floored by her experiance and dedication to losing weight. It really moved me to get off the couch and say I can really do this. I bought myself a pedometor ( this keeps track of the steps you take while you walk or run) and I started walking 10,000 steps a day and literally changed my eating habits. It's hard there are so many temptations out there. Now I'm at 163 and working to get down to 130. So I cheer you on and know that your not the only one going through these weight issues. |
