Hi...I have an 18 month old who I adopted from Russia in March. I've been home every day with him. I'd love to meet with other Moms and kids 'cause we reeeallly need to get out of the house!! He needs to learn how to make friends and it wouldn't hurt if I made a few myself.
We live in Mount Dora and have crazy schedules because I still work a little from home, in between naps and meals!
I really hope that we can meet with some of you!!

Hi Donna!
Welcome to the group! Things are a bit slow right now, I think we are all kind of trying to find our summer groove. I was out of town for a few days, and I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. I would love to chat with you, and maybe workout our schedules to get together. We just started speech therapy last week, so we are trying to get adjusted to our new time demands.
We are also desperate to meet new moms with kids our ages for interaction. My son just turned 2 1/2 on the 15th and needs to learn how to play with other kids as well. My daughter is 4 1/2 and quite the bossy one, so he is picking up defensive habits because of her... ugh! He needs kids his own age to interact with regularly.
Keep on posting... anything that's on your mind! I'd love to hear about your WAH projects. We are looking for a bit more income ourselves... the rising prices of everything is killing us! Let's get this group rolling again! Excited to get to know you!

Hi Annette....So glad you replied. In regards to my job, I do closing packages for my husband's mortgage company. I used to do it full time at the office but now, with a laptop & a copier/printer/fax, I'm doing it at home. There are days that I don't have any closings and we just hang around the house. Its too hot to go outside in the afternoon so we try to get out in the morning.
I'm expecting my Mother to visit from TN today for the weekend, so I'll be a little busy today.
I hope to hear from you soon about getting together. |
