My daughter just turned two has well and we are owrking on potty as well. We got a potty bank and we give her .25 cents each time she goes potty and .50 cents when she goes poop. I take Blaney right before nap time and we read a story while were on the potty then we take a nap same thing at bed time.We also go potty after nap. We are still going threw 4-5 dippers a day and our dr. says we just might not be ready as of yet. Hang in ther they will due it when they are ready. Melissa

Thanks for the story Melissa. I understand the money bank that is a cute idea but im not sure if my son would really get that whole money thing yet. I do tell him though htat when he goes on the potty he can have some M&Ms and only then. Also I dont let him flush unless he does something which makes him mad so Im hoping that will persuade him to go.
OH these kids :O)

Try the flushing of the frootloops or cherio's that worked realy well with my son. sink the frootloops and cherio's. they even have potty targets that you can buy. Melissa

When Briella turned 2 (in February) I set a timer to go off every hour. We would go sit on the potty for a couple minutes while we sang or read, until she said she was done. Usually she hadn't done anything, but it got her used to the potty and more aware of her bodies signals. By the second day she was telling me she needed to go potty-right after she'd gone in her pants or a second before (with no time to get to the bathroom), but at least she was aware. This didn't end up working for her because she started refusing to sit on the potty, so I took other people's advice that she needed a break to get used to being an older sister. But it might be worth a shot...
