new mom to alamo

hi! we have moved to alamo from Houston about 1 mo. ago. my hubby is a border patrol agent and i stay home with the kids. i would love to get my kids involved with other kids the way they were at home, but we have had a hard time meeting anyone here. we are in an apartment right now, but have bought a house on almost an acre and are moving in mid-july. so far we love alamo, the folks are very nice, but i don't see too much for the young kids to do!
