Hi! I live in Kyle, TX. I am a high school science teacher. I have a 2 month old, and I'm currently on leave from school. I don't return to work until August, but I'm going crazy! I love my daughter, but I miss teaching, and doing a million things a day. This is my first child, and I feel really guilty - like I should love every minute of being home with her, but it's very difficult. Tell me about your new little one! What do you do for a living? Are you back at work? |

I am also a working mom. I am the assistant special ed director in a town here in Massachusetts. I have a 22 month old daughter and am pregnant with my second one, due in Feb. I don't know how I'm going to handle going back to work with the second one. It will be interesting!
Don't feel guilty about wanting to go back to work. Some days, I found it was nice just to be able to eat with both hands!!! I still love my daughter, but like the break and adult contact. I find it recharges me to be a better mom to her and I still get my weekends and summers with her!

Hi! I'm also a working mom. My son is 16 months old and I went back to work when he was three months. I'm a pharmacist in WA. I do wish that I could spend more time with my son. Even though we have a great daycare, it's still hard going to work sometimes. Everyone told me the first two weeks were the harderst. However, some days can still be very hard. I love my job and co-workers and it's nice to have some adult conversation. I think any working parent feels guilty if they are not spending all their time with their children. It doesn't mean that you love them anyless. You are just doing what's best for you and your family. My son is well-adjusted and enjoys going to daycare. I'm glad he gets to socialize with other adults and kids. |

I am a working mom with an 11 month old. We are very fortunate with our day care provider but I feel guilty everyday. I feel bad living my son, but at the same time I know I would not be happy staying home all the time with him. In my perfect world I would work part time, but that is not an option right now. |
