We are having my daughters 2nd birthday party at the end of June. We are inviting aproximately 50 people ranging from family members, friends, to kids and their parents from her daycare (some of which we don't know that well). To avoid chaos and boredom from some, we were thinking about not opening presents at the party...what do you guys think? Personally, I would like to have her open her presents, but with so many people and so many fun things to do, we are thinking of saving the opening for after the party.
Any advice is appreciated :) Thanks!

For my son's second birthday, we invited families from a playday we go to, and we opened the presents from them and saved most of the ones from family members for later. I would open those up and then if you wanted to save the rest for later. Some people put some thought into it and like to see the reaction of the kids and others, I think. |

I'd open the ones from the non-family and save the rest. It will be like your daugher had 2 birthdays which I'm sure she'd like. Another suggestion about the food that worked well for me was we had a potluck and everybody brought something. It saved on cost and everybody really enjoyed it! |

I would open gifts from friends while they are there. People like to see the kids reactions and after all they do put a lot of thought into the gift. |
