My daughter seems to hate sandwhich's. Seems odd but she will pick out the meats or whatever and leave the bread. She'll eat one or two small bites of french toast then tell me she's done. She's also only one. I run out of ideas for lunch, i can only feed her mac and chees so much. I've tried different breads too, she hates whole wheat and white is about 35% ok but she seems to hate bread. Is she missing any nutrients? Any ideas on how to get her to eat bread? she also won't eat anything that is breaded, like chicken nuggets. she's such a picky eater, i try to be consistant but yet adventorous with her food. any tips? |

my daughter was the same way untill I toasted the bread, try that! Also have you tried spagetti O's or Ravioli or chichen noodle soup for lunch, mini pizza, or those penut butter and jelly pouches. Good luck, just keep trying. |

WIll she eat pasta besides mac n cheese? If so, I think she can still get a good amount of nutrients she isn't getting from eating any bread products. Try the whole wheat or multi grain varieties--they also have great pastas with a lot more protein these days. My son loves spaghetti and meatballs, or some days for lunch I just make a nice pasta salad with bow ties, tomatoes, cheese etc. You can add anything you like to it (provided she'll eat it of course!)b ut it's a good way to get more grains into her. I think she'll be fine w/o bread. If she's eating veggies & fruit, consider yourself lucky. Some of my friends kids wo'nt touch either of the above! |

Its funny how kids do that; take the bread off the sandwich. I used to work in a daycare and thats the first time I saw a child do that. The 3 and 4 yr olds. We would encourage them to eat it all together, b/c we thought they might just be playing with it, or wanting to do it their own way. Well, now I have a 4 yr old, 3 yr old and 2 yr old twins. My 4 yr old is the only one who will eat the bread on the sandwich. I have gotten to the point where I will actually give the other children turkey and cheese w/ no bread. But the funny thing is, they will eat toast, and sometimes buttered bread... and they do eat chicken nuggets and pastas. I think (im no nutritionist) bread is mostly carbs, so if she eats things like potatoes or other carb filled foods, she should be ok, and maybe she will start eating bread later... Maybe try putting jelly or something else tasty on it? :) |

my daughter who is 20 months old will not eat any sandwiches, although I've tried, but I find if I give her sandwich meat with cream cheese toast fingers beside it she will devour the bread that way. She also will eat english muffins no matter what flavor. To make sure she gets enough grains I always make whole wheat or multigrain pasta dinners for her several times a week.Maybe this will work for your daughter too. Good Luck! |

I wish she would eat more
she would not eat any other meat then chicken she ate a lot more before 2 and a half and then stopped it was crazy but how can this be a phase after 6 months
I understand the picky eater but not how to stop it if you find an answer let me know |
