Hi From Colo.! New to group
Hi, moms -

I'm Steph and I live in northern Colorado. I recently ended a ten-year "career" in IT to be a SAHM to my wonderful little boy. I don't regret it, but, somedays are more questionable than others! :o D

It's been tough finding other mom friends in my area. My son is an only too, so I've been trying to make an effort to get out and socialize for his sake - not an easy thing. So many things to do around the house and chasing the kiddo, plus meals, naps, etc. Before I know it, the day is gone. Does this sound familiar, or am I just lousy at this homemaking thing? (LOL)

Anywho, it's nice to be here and I look forward to chatting with everyone! :0)

Hey Steph, welcome! I know what you mean about the questionable days!!! We are only human! It can be a little rough to get out their and be committed to extra things for your son... to be social, but really try to have fun with it :) Just go out their with a positive outlook and you will be amazed at the joy you will find in experiencing new things in the social world for the both of you! I started stressing about it too when I decided it's really time now that my daughter is almost 2 & 1/2 to get her more involved. And yes it's when you think you can't possibly take any more time away from your other commitments at home too! The cleaning, laundry, meals and shopping, on & on! I just decided to change my routine a bit and let it develop a new flow that works great... sometimes it's hard to leave the house when there is so much to be done... but I finally listened to someone who said to me, "trust me it will be there when you get back!" I've just loosened up a little and feel so much better... not so overwhelmed :)

Hi my name is Celia. i am new to southern colorado and i know exactly what you are going through!!!!! i have done both over the past ten years, stay at home and work we have four kids ranging from 11yrs to 3 1/2 months. we recently moved from california a little over a year ago, and before i moved here i was a hairstylist for five years, and even then i did not know what a social life was. my husband is the only adult interaction i get. WHAT STIMULATION!!!!!!!!!! anyways i have been a member for maybe a month and even though you are on the northern side and me on the south at least we are in the same state!! if you want to talk or if possible meet i would enjoy the simulation!!
