My name is Valerie and I am dealing with this pregnancy alone now that my partner has completely bowed out. To say that I am saddened is an understatement. I am devastated but my little man will be here soon and I must focus on him. If anyone is dealing with something similar please tell me I am not alone. |

Hi Valerie,
I am really sadden to hear your story but fortunately you are not alone. We also have a single parent group (I am going to send you an invitation to join) where there are other women in your situation.
It is clearly sad not to have the father of your child around but probably it would be even worst to have around someone who does not want to take on that role.
You are going to be a great mom because you already worry so much about the future of your child and that is what being a parents is all about.

Hi Valerie! I experienced my third pregnancy with only a 4yo son for support (and he just wasn't too interested in the whole thing!). I'm glad you have such a positive attitude about when the baby comes. In my experience, pregnancy is a time to be fully enjoyed and celebrated regardless of your situation. I found that certain family members, friends, and even a couple of co-workers were almost as excited as a Daddy would have been about new milestones I experienced while pregnant and the baby reached reached in her first years. I wish you all the best, and you could even contact me if you like. I understand where you are at. |

Hi my names Rebecca this is my 3rd pregancy all girls. I've been married almost 5 years now and my husbands in the Air Force. This pregancy has been pretty good just a lot of back pain and not being able to sleep very well, I'm about 26 weeks now so still have a ways to go. |

Hi, my name is Heidi and I am pregnant with Baby #2. We already have a 15 month old daughter and we feel blessed to be having another little one. We are unsure of the sex (won't find out until 3/22), but we already have names picked out for both. I am almost 12 weeks along and the morning/afternoon/night sickness has seemed to pass. I still find myself extremely tired, especially chasing a one-year old around all day! This pregnancy is completely different from my first, but it's nice to have already been through it once, to know what to expect. |

Hi my name is Laura Mata. I am expecting our first baby in about 5 weeks. We did not find out the gender, which has been pretty exciting. Does everyone in this group live in Alexandria VA, or are we spread out? I am so excited and cannot wait to meet this little person inside of me. I am also excited about this group. Any activiites planned?

Hello, my name is Cicely and I'm 23 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. Although this is my third time, I still find it as exciting as the first and I am still interested in everything about pregnancy right now. My first son was born almost 10 years ago and my second son was born 28 months ago.
I'm a little disappointed with the ob/gyn clinic I am going to in Frederick MD. It seems really in-personal and there are about 6 doctors that rotate between each appointment. My ideal doctor would be a practice with a few women and I could have the choice of who I want to see at each appointment. I don't like that I don't have a choice right now. I had an ultra sound appointment last week and they referred me to another clinic to get it done. I lost my refferal sheet on the morning of my appointment so I called the doctors office and they did not know where they reffered me. I had to go to 4 different ultrasound specialist in the neighborhood before I found the right place that I had the appointment at.
Does anyone who lives in Frederick Maryland have a great OB/GYN they want to share info with me? Or do you know of an ob referral website that I can check out? I want to spend the second half of my pregnancy the way it should be spent. We have enough things to worry about while we are pregnant and shouldn't have to be uncomfortable at our monthly, bi-weekly and weekly doctors visits.
Nice to meet you guys! |

Well, I am 25 weeks pregnant with my third. My daughter is 3 years old and my son is 1 year. I am 27 years old and I have to say it hard. My husband works alot and we do not have any help from family or friends. I love my children but I hate being a stay at home mom. I do work part time, but I get tired of having to do everything and never getting a break. I know their are mothers that have it harder than I do. |
