Question
I was wondering how I would go about starting to teach my daughter sign language and how old to start her? I think it would be a great thing for her to know as well as me.

I started teaching my daughter one sign at a time. I started with baba (she nurses) and we use the milk sign. Then I did dog, because we have a dog. Start with objects you can show her, and once she grasps the concept then move on to signs like "more" or "done"
I also use "My Baby Can Talk" dvds.
Please let me know if there is any other questions.

I bought several of these books from www.garlicpress.com my daughter just loves them, now she looks threw them herself and signs each item. (she's 18 months old). I also highly recommend buying the "My Baby Can Talk" First Signs You can watch the video and learn how to do the signs , it also has a parents section on it giving tips on what's best to teach your child. It will probably take a few weeks for your daughter to sign back to you in the begining, a lot depending on her age.
