We would like to extend a huge welcome to our new members! We are so glad that you found SCValleyMommies and hope that you find our site a wonderful resource for friendship and support.
The SCVM Prune in May
If only the picture above could really happen.......
May marks our 6 month Birthday! With having a half birthday comes a pruning. We've been warning you about this pruning....IT'S NOW HERE AND WILL BE HAPPENING IN MAY!!!!! What does The SCVM Prune mean? This means that if you have not logged in AND posted in the last 30 days, your account will be deactivated. We have these prunes for the safety of each of our members and their family. Any member that has ZERO posts on our forum and/or a member that has not logged into SCVM recently is at risk of having her account pruned from SCValleyMommies.
To prevent yourself from being pruned, all you need to do is choose any forum, find a topic that interests you, and respond to it! We have so many interesting topics going on that we're sure you will find something that peaks your interest. It may just be enough to get you hooked on SCValleyMommies.com...if you're not already. If you have any questions please send an email to admin@scvalleymommies.com.

What has SCValleyMommies been up to? We have had so many fun and adventurous events these past few months. We had a couple Meet-n-Greet's, an Egg Hunt Potluck, a fabulous time at the Gentle Barn Animal Rescue Farm, adventurous times at Ugly Coffee, and of course...Cookies & Milk with Santa.

The Future
We are planning MANY events for the future months to come.
JUNE
Looking forward to seeing the Sex and the City movie? We will be having our Mommies Night Out in style on Sunday, June 1st going to Buca DiBeppo in Valencia first for dinner & drinks, and then walking to the Valencia theaters to see the movie. We have decided to dress up for this special all-girlfriends outing (including feather boas). Check the Calendar and Events & Happening forum for further details.
Family Fun Day/Open House at Central Park ~ June 8th 11am-3pm
Help celebrate SCValleyMommies and spread the work about our marvelous group! We will be having a Baked Goods Donation, fun games, raffles, and more. We will also be collecting old electronic devises (cell phones, pda's, laptops and digital cameras) for recycling. Please PM Rhi (irishdreaming) to volunteer to help.
Souplantation Fun-Raiser ~ June 17th
Help raise funds for SCValleyMommies and future events just by eating out with the family. More details to come.
JULY
July 4th Parade
SCValleyMommies has entered into the 2008 4th of July Santa Clarita Parade. We will need volunteers to help decorate a float and be in the parade (parents AND children will be in the parade). More details to come soon.
AUGUST
Firehouse Visit
SCValleyMommies will be visiting one of our local Firehouse Stations again. YIPPEE!!! More details to come soon.

Jordan is 11 and Jessica is 7, both love gaming!!
3. What is your favorite movie?
Toss up between The Jazz Singer, and When a Man loves a Woman
4. Where were you born?
Reseda, CA
5. What is your least favorite household chore?
Laundry by a mile!!
6. Who is your idol? Someone you look up to?
I would have to say my best friend Heidi, who is fighting Lung Cancer right now, and has been a TROOPER through it all. She has NOT given in to the statistics, she just keeps pushing on.
7. What are/is your favorite television show(s)?
I am a huge UFC fan, love Prison Break, and Breaking Bad
8. If we were to interview your best friend, how do you think she/he would describe you?
I would hope she would say I am a good person...
9. What is something you are passionate about?
My walking, I get irritated if I don't go, lol
10. Name 2 of your bad habits.
Being too picky about things being clean, and nail biting, lol
11. When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A veterinarian, but I couldn't stand it if an animal died, so I didn't take that route! 12. Who is your movie/television/music star crush from back in your high school days?
With music he is still my favorite, Neil Diamond, and honestly I can't remember any movie when I was a kid!!! Must have been outside playing!
13. What was your favorite subject in school?
PE, I love sports!
14. Name an embarrassing moment you've experienced.
wearing 2 different shoes to work, and having someone point it out, lol
15. What's your favorite thing to do to pamper yourself?
buy a new outfit of course!
16. What is something you'd like to do but haven't? Travel, going to be hard, because I don't fly...
17. What is your favorite thing about being a mother? My kids laughing and carrying on, and them telling me they love me :)
18. Do you think you look like a celebrity? Who? Ok, funny you should ask this... at every job I have had, someone says I look like Jodi Foster, lol. At my work now, they call me Jodi Faker, lol.
19. What is your favorite food? IN N OUT Burger!!!!!
20. How did you come to join SCValleyMommies? I got a friend request on MYSPACE, lol.

VOLUNTEERS & PREGNANT LADIES NEEDED FOR BABY EXPO
SCValleyMommies is showcasing the Maternity Fashion Show at the Henry Mayo Baby Expo on Sunday, May 4th. If you are pregnant, or know someone that is pregnant, and would like to strut your stuff walking down the catwalk in beautiful maternity clothes, please contact Rhi (irishdreaming). We are also in search for members that can volunteer to help in the booth. Thank you!
