Any one can host a swap you just have to email me and tell me what it is when you wanna do it and ect... Its fun when others host it also... but please no plus one swap... thanks let me kno if you would like to host!! Participating in a Swaps/Rules
Swaps are headed by a 'host', the host decides what the requirements for the swap are, including the group categories and sizes. They are always open to questions so don’t be afraid to ask.
Participation includes making one item (the host decides what it is, tag/page/card etc) for each person in your group.
Mailing swaps: Please mail your swaps on or before the postmark date. Your host will either post her address on the swap thread or email it to you individually.
Make sure to put your swap in a plastic baggie, to ensure no damage to your materials, also adding you cafemom screen name and the name of the swap on the outside the baggie or on a small piece of scrap paper on the inside. Place the swap inside an envelope or other packaging materials; include cardboard or something to keep the envelope from bending. Include a SASE (Self Addressed Stamped Envelope).
SASE: Include the same amount of postage it took you to mail your swap, plus two stamps to off set any additional weight. Additional stamps will be returned if they are not used.
Everyone has unforeseen circumstances, if at any time you need to remove yourself from a swap please contact the host ASAP so she can either find a replacement or reduce the number of participants.
THERE ARE NO PLUS ONE SWAPS ALLOWED!!!! But you can always send the hostess a little something (homemade item, a few strands of ribbon, a couple of brads, stickers or any little token for all the work involved in hosting! It's totally up to you!! hostess takes work-receiving swaps, storing them, sorting, double checking it all, packaging, getting ready for the post office and taking to the post office making sure they all have enough to mail back-sometimes adding postage out of our own pocket!! Their fun, but alot of work!!
