Hi Jenny,

Welcome to the group!

How old is your daughter?

My brother-in-law has CP. My husband explained there is such a dramatic spectrum of the condition it almost needs multiple classifications but, he has learned to be vocal and express his needs quite proficiently.

My son is 2 yrs old and he has an expressive speech delay.

We have him in early intervention therapy currently and he has started babbling a lot more. It seems his consonants are MIA.

Anyway, I am really glad you found us.

It's a wonderful, extremely supportive group here. I hope you feel right at home!

Hi Jenny-

Welcome! My son has dyspraxia and, as a result, severe expressive speech delay. It has definitely been a challenge trying to get him to speak and understanding what it is that he wants. Luckily, he is usually content to show me what he wants. Is your daughter in speech therapy?

Feel free to browse through and join into any of the discussions here. I am definitely looking forward to getting to know you and knowing more about your family! :-)
