Hi Im new
Hello everyone. I have a 25 month old boy and an 8 week old boy and in 4 weeks I will go back to work, im still on maternity leave. Part of me cant wait to get away for awhile, but I am a Nurse and work can be as demanding or more than being at home with 2 boys. What makes life worse is my 2 year old has a speech problem and we are looking for ways to get him help for that. Also when I go back to work I will be starting a new job, I switched hospitals to work at, wanted one closer to home. We are planning on trying for #3 in July 2009 we want to have a girl, if so we think that might be all.

Somedays I want to scream, when my 2 year old is calling me and the baby wont stop crying, he is alittle colicy, and he loves to be held, he wont lay down in the play pen or the floor to play like his big brother used to do, they keep me very busy.

I hear ya... I have a 22 month old who has had delays with speech, mobility and eating. He's been seeing a therapist since Thanksgiving. He's been doing a lot better now, as there was nothing really physically or mentally wrong with him and his therapist is finally seeing what I said from the beginning, that he is the MOST stubborn kid ever. The only reason I could tell is because I am the MOST stubborn adult ever. :-) Nothing with this kid has been easy. He is NOT a mellow baby and he is quite the screamer. The hard part is there are a few other kids in our family that were born around th same time, and our monster constantly gets compared to them. I just keep reminding everyone that he will do things in HIS own time and he is has his OWN personality. YOU know what is right for your kid, but somtimes it is hard to just deal with the day to day. Do what I do... scream (and I wonder why he is a screamer)... then I knit, and spin, and sing (at least that one entertains the kid). oh yeah, and I fit full time work as an engineer in there too. Someday it will get easier... right? Gotta believe that. :-)
