I hope you don't mind me posting my little breakthroughs, but they get me so excited I get all teary eyed, and have to share.
I mentioned in one of my posts about how we take little weekend trips when we can, and whenever we get back, Jake seems to open up more. Well, today, other than his little reciprocating drama he displayed today (copying Sammi's tears w/fake crying) he was quite the verbal terror at Big Lots today.
He was reaching for any and every toy he say saying... "that!" "that!" I couldn't get mad... my boy was talking! Yay!
And tonight, I was glancing through our health care newsletter and he was pointing to pictures saying "that that" And I said "that's a baby" He so clearly said Baby then baybah, then baby again and then he was satisfied with the answer. Hubby and I just smiled so big and said, yep, gotta get away more!
Then a few minutes later, he picked up the remote and said, "I got it" and was grinning ear to ear (because he's not supposed to have it) LOL
He also said "apple" as he was digging in the produce drawer of the fridge (a word he had left behind)
I can't tell you how thrilled I am to be able to add more words to his list. I keep a magnetic grocery list on my fridge and add to it whenever he says something new. I haven't been able to add to it for several weeks. :( But today I had a lot to add!

| I love to read about breakthroughs, little or big!!! I think it is very encouraging for all of us...we all feel "down" sometimes when our children are having a rough time, and reading about others breakthroughs always make me smile and so happy!!! |
