Adult ADD now my son..

I have adult ADD and I picked up the symptoms in my son last year. He was failing in every class and always distracted. The doctor put him on Adderal and what a difference he has made. He now can concentrate in school and does his homework right when he gets in the door. His grades have never been as good as they are now. The only downfall I have is his attitude and hyperactivity when he is off of it(weekends). Does anyoone else have this problem?

you can definatly tell when my son hasnt had his medication. on top of the adhd he also has bipolar and odd. which without the meds hes more defiant impulsive and major attitude. my drs recently put him on it on the weekend also because of the issues we had trying to take him somewhere whether to the park store or just out, lets just say ended up having to drag him out kicking and screaming. although not as bad as when my friends kids were on concerta when they didnt take it on the weekend they became agressive and violent. so i guess ill take the attitude and hyperactivity. good luck hun
