I know there are a few messages in our group and just wanted to see if its okay to have information (like an introduction) in one thread. I hope no one minds that I have started this thread. I just thought it would be nice to have us introduce ourself all in one place. Information I was thinking of is the following: name, location (if you like), Age, Children ages/gender, raised Muslim or convert, hobbies, what is your one dream you hope to fulfill. I did get this idea from another Muslim families board and thought it was a great way to get to know each other.
Name: Samira
Location: Las Vegas
Age:33 wow I am so old :(
Children ages/gender: Alex (B) 8, Carlos (B) 5 (yeah one more week until he is 6) baby due 9-8-08 (who knows if its a boy or girl?)
Raised Muslim or revert: revert in 2007, study Islam since 2004
Hobbies: dreaming of cooking (I do not like to really cook); crafts (scrap booking, etc.), watching TV (its how I vegg out), yoga (trying to become flexible), going outside nature walks/picnics, reading, and conversations (I love to talk about everything!)
What is your one dream you hope to fulfill: I hope to be a SHAM one day.

Okay I know 33 is still very young. But to my sons they make me seem so old. On my birthday they wanted to put candles on my cake so they got the candles in the package and said, how old are you again mom, I said 33 my oldest looked at the box of candles and said well mom your too old now to have candles, its only 12 in this package! |
