Breastfeeding Mommies
Public online group

Hello
Hi Ladies,

I am a stay-at-home mom of a toddler and a 7 mo old. I have been nursing her exclusively and she has been teething pretty badly lately and I have finally had my first experience with my nipples getting bitten by my child (I have lived to tell ;))

When I saw this group, I thought maybe I could take comfort in the fact that lots of other mommies have stories like mine.

You seem like a great group of ladies!

yup my 7 month old is also teething and while feeding she will stop and think it is one of her toys or something and bite down... ouch!

I KNOW!! OUCH!

And the best part is that she doesn't even HAVE teeth there yet and it hurts that much!

My mom-in-law said my husband used to bite her WITH teeth!

Oh joy! These little ones are lucky they have such adorable smiles!

My son bit me with teeth so bad the side of my right breast was yellow and green from it getting infected and I had to take antibiotics and pump that side. This was almost 13 years ago but they are opposite my son had 6-8 teeth by 8 months old she has yet to get one....
They really are lucky they have beautiful smiles.
While BFing my husband is not allowed to talk to me from far away he has to come sit next to me because my daughter will turn to look for him and take my nipple with her....That really hurts for a few days!

OMG my daughter does that too! I have to pause the tv or mute it but, that doesn't always work because then my 2 yr old comes barreling into the room. I hate to have to go to another room to nurse. And, of course, she doesn't understand when I tell her to focus.

Ouch about the infection!
