I am not sure but I think my son is going through seperation anixety. He is almost 14 months and has just started crying the two days I leave him at the daycare provider. He use to love going there, whenever we get out of the car he would almost run to the door with a big smile on his face. Now he still does that but as soon as I leave he starts to cry, which breaks my heart. I am not sure what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions? |

My daugher was like that the first time I took her to grandma's after she hadn't seen them for a while. She NEVER used to do it but my mom reported that about 5 minutes after I left, she was back to normal. I would guess that your son is the same way. As soon as he realizes where he is and how much fun it is, he will be back to his normal self in a matter of minutes. Otherwise, did they change the routine or food at daycare? That could be a cause for anxiety. |

Have you talked to the provider to find out what's happening over there? Has there been any major changes in your life or at the daycare? That could be a factor too. I hate to mention this but my friend experienced something similar. Her son out of no where would start crying nonstop for hours when she left him with the provider. She eventually changed providers and her son was fine and happy as can be. |
