Falling Asleep
Thank you all for your comments on falling asleep training. I am a bit relieved now since most of you said it's a bit too early. I am also glad there are other techniques besides the torturous one :). I am going to buy a book to learn more about it. My son sleeps in his crib. First two months he slept with me though. I don't think I could have done it differently when I look back now. I was so tired and sleep deprivation would have finished me off. Around two months I started putting him in his crib with a mirror in it. Whenever he was waking up he was falling back asleep. He thought there was a person with him and felt secure. It's good that I did it early enough so he didn't recognize faces yet. I have never read or heard anywhere that a mirror can solve a problem like this so I am hoping it will help someone. I think I am going to wait until Alex is a bit older. Thanks again for your help.
