Just nice to know that others feel the same.

Hi all. I just, first of all, want to say, I am glad I found this site. I am a mother of 2 girls 12 and 9. I work full-time at home; nevertheless, 40 hours do not leave a lot of time for the nice cozy house I WISH I kept. They are great, but I cannot seem to get them to do chores easily and I cannot keep doing everything and working 40 hours a week. Nothing outlandish, just pick up after themselves and maybe, put their clothes away and learn how to do a load of laundry for allowance. My 12-year-old is great. My 9-year-old I find I try to reason with and it just backfires. In the time that I spend trying to convince her to think of the family and how different our lives would be if we more organized with clothes and daily tasks, we could have folded and put away 2 or 3 loads of laundry. Grounding to room does not really do anything because it just lets her get away with not doing anything....any advice??????

Hello Justine, I do not know much about girls except I was one and I could not have had a girl because I was not a good girl, I am glad I had a boy! I would call super nanny or watch her shows I do and she is a wonderful help and gives great ideas. Good luck!
