Teething Troubles
Does anyone have any good advice on helping a baby who is teething?

Emma's first tooth is visible in the gum under the skin, but it hasn't broken through yet. The poor wee poppet wants to chew on everything, but it hurts when she does so she cries.

I've tried homeopathic teething tablets, baby orajel, and tylenol when she's really bad. She has a variety of teethers in all shapes, sizes, and textures.

If you have any tried and true tricks, I'd love to hear them.

Thanks!

Were they the Hyland Teething Tablets? They really helped for us. Otherwise, I'm sorry to say I have no more advice. It looks like you covered it all. I guess sleeping through the night is not in your cards for now!!

Yes, we're using the Hyland Teething Tablets. Ironically, she is sleeping through the night - she has done for a week now. That's the most she has ever slept through the night. It's just during the daytime when she wants to chew on something but it hurts that she gets really upset and cranky.

At least we're all sleeping well!

Emma's first tooth broke through during the night - yay!

She's been really unsettled in the evenings for a few days, but she seems much happier now and thankfully she slept through the night last night.

Emma's second tooth broke through!

I haven't heard from any of you lately, I hope you and your families are all well and happy.

Well, Emma's teething again! It seems like she's fine while she's playing, but when it's time to settle down for a nap and she no longer has things to distract her, she notices the pain more. Gone are the days of putting her to bed at 8 pm - now she's crying until after 11 pm. Oh well!
