Sick Kids

I had three kids call out from the same family this morning...Daycare rules state that kids with fevers can't attend. One has pink eye but Mom took this child to the doctor last week and it was just about gone. Mom said she did't want to lose her job for missing too much time from work. She has 6 children one with cp and a set of twins who are babies. I feel bad when she has to stay home but I must look out for all the kids. Comments.....

That doesn't sound good ! The parents use to look at me wierd when a child would come into the daycare and I ask them to use the pump which they know is the hand sanitizer . Now most of the kids as soon as they walk in they go right to the pump and by school bus children go right to it as soon as they come in from the bus stop. we are always washing our hands here.so far so good here for at least the pass 3 yr a big sickness hasn't gone around. my own family has stayed healthy .I'm sure like you things are aways being clean down.I'm a big one for that. I do think it's funny when a parent calls me letting me know their child is sick and if they should keep them home . WHAT ! And I like this one parent i have as soon as her son get's sick she always state's " He must have gotten it from here. " which is funny since her son is the only one that is sick and she is a medic who is always around sick people plus she is standing here feeling sick herself.
