What are they thinking !
I have a parent whose child is 4 yr but is a very small 4. Anyway for the past 6 month at least the child has been getting in the car with no car seat. and at time is in the front . and that with his parents. Now his 16 1/2 sister JUST startig driven has been dropping him off and picking him up . Yes NO car seat. here is the kicker the other day it was nice and she drives a convertable had the top down and he get's in the front seat .it's bad enough he just gets in the back with NO seat. Do I step in....knowing it's been going on for awhile ? Do I state that I can't let ANY daycare child leave my center with out safely been buckled up including a car seat ? I have this feeling they are going to learn the hard way.

I agree..sometimes I hate to get into issues with parents because they become defensive and get mad at me. Have you ever tried to tell them that their child had a delay? needed to go see a Doctor because the cold has been going on too long? We take care of kids day in and day out...take class after class, attend all day seminars and take first aid, cpr, and sids training.I love the kids but sometimes I get weary when Like you I see situations that I know are not positive for a little one.....any comments

RIGHT !!! telling a parent that they might want to get their child tested !!!!! I give a progress report with each lesson I do . I leave it up to the parent to do what's best for their child, And once they get into the school system they'll find out .
When a child is sick and you can see it when the parent drops them off can be sticky asking the parent if the child is ok .Or the parent state how sick the child is when they call you up that morning then brings them the next day.
