I Have an 18 month old and a week old both boys. Does anyone know how I can make my 18 month old listen to me more?

i hat to say this but he's only 18 mths old. Time outs when he is behaving very bad and low athoritive tone when speking to him.. Not yelling and getting down to his level the best way you can. He's very advenerous and into learning about everything and observing it. Good luck!!!!!!!!

Hi Melissa
When my second boy was born, my oldest boy was also 18 months old. He was not thrilled with a new baby in the house and started acting up and won't listen. We started to have one on one play time with him and that has helped. We also started a reward system for him when he is behaving well!! Both methods have improved his behavior and cooperation.
