You can take the solids and grind them or chop them really fine, maybe he just doesn't like the consistency. I have read somewhere that sometimes they just don't like the feel of it (in their mouth) not neccesarily the taste. And I have also heard that if they aren't hungry not to force them or not make a big deal out of it because you don't want eating to feel like something they are being pressured to do. I would still offer all meals to him and snacks and let him make the decision to eat, he will eat when he is hungry but he needs to know when meal time is. I have always had a rountine with my son and somedays he just isn't hungry for a meal but usually by the next meal he eats really good. And snacks are a must because their little bellies can't hold a lot at one time so they need that in between snack to hold them until the next meal. |

My daughter is 11 months old also and she was doing the same thing and then all of a sudden today she started eating. Ive always heard to not worry about it and they will eat when they are hungry. Are you feeding him table food at all? If you are only feeding him baby food, maybe he is just bored with it. I have my daughter on mostly table food. Good luck and don't worry, unless he starts losing weight or not having dirty and wet diapers. |

My daughter would do the same thing with he gerber food. Finally we just realized she liked the textures of what we were eating and it tasted better. So we started just mashing up everything we ate and we stopped buying the baby food. I think it made her feel like a big girl because she saw the same food she was eating on her plate. She is now 1yr and has not had baby food for 5 or 6 months. |
