First Time Mom

Hello everyone. My name is Marie and I have a 81/2 year old little girl named Maribella. She is the apple of my eye and I am enjoying being a stay at home mom. I would like to meet other local mothers because he seems like the friends I had before I had my daughter don't come around anymore. Because I have a child and they don't. I'd also like my daughter to get some social interation with other babies.

Marie, Welcome! Glad you found this board! My name is Shawna and I live in Hemby Bridge, NC. I have a 5 month old little girl and am a sahm for the first time. I also have a 10 yr old girl and a 7 yr old boy. I too have been trying to connect with other moms with babies since most of my friends all have older kids and are not having any more children. It can be so hard to be home with no other women to chat with but also rewarding to have time to spend with your new baby! There is not much traffic on this chat board and I have found some great friends at unioncountymommies.com. Check it out, there are lots of other mommies there to chat with. Also there is a baby time at the Indian Trail library on Monday and Thursday morning at 10:30 that I have attended with dd and it is a lot of fun and there are lots of babies and moms there to chat with. I hope to get to know you better! Shawna

Shawna I'll have to check out the group at the Indian Trail Library. I have a 81/2 month old and a 14 year old step son. Maybe we will see you guys there. Thanks for the info on the group.
