flying with baby need help
i will be flying next month across country by myself with he will be then 11 month old son. i was wondering if anyone has any advice. i can get a ticket for him but the thought of draging his car seat(its one of those big convertible car seats because he doesnt fit his infant carseat anymore) and stroller and my carry on from one flight to the next(because there are no direct flights) doesnt sound like fun to me. but then trying to hold him in my lap on a 6hour flight doesnt sound like fun either
so any advice would be helpful

at that age, I would suggest getting him a seat, I flew once with my son after he was walking and it was a nitemare, the time before he was 9 months wasn't so bad. but my daughter is 13m and I couldn't even image holding her especially by myself. Also to help you out Babies R us sells a car seat bag that has wheels and you can also wear it like a backpack
I used it when I traveled w/ my 2 old this winter it worked great and you can put things in it like coats or stuff for the plane.good luck I know it will be hard either way, Last time I traveled w/ just my son he finnally feel asleep as the plane was taxiing to the terminal.. I flew Jet blue and the pilot actually carried my stuff for me so I could carry him cause I didn't have a stroller and then he came running thru bagage claim w/ his stuff lamb blanket it was pretty funning LOL..

It should fit all car seats I have the bigger ones to 100lbs, I haven't heard much about southwest except you can't board till the A's board now, cause you don't have assigned seatting, we're flying them in June I am not looking forward to it.
