Does anyone have a Subaru Outback? Is so how is the gas mileage? What is your opinion on the car? I currently have a Jeep Liberty which I am happy with but the gas mileage is only 18mi/gal. I've read in a few artices that the outback gets around 20mi/gal., which isn't that big of a difference. Also do you know the dimensions of the cargo space? It looks big but i wonder if it is bigger than what I already have with me jeep?
Thanks |

My sister-n-law has one, she is an economics professor in CA, she has owned outbacks ever since they came out, so I guess that is saying a lot from her, she travels back and forth between CA and MI and takes her Subaru so I think she really values hers. She has a black Lab and he stays in the Cargo space in the back when they travel, so hopefully this gives you an idea. |

I have one and it gets about 23-25 gal. I love my Subaru, but my family is also growing. We have a son and two black labs and a baby on the way. It would be fine if you didn';t need room to take the dogs or luggage at the same time. But plenty of room if you don't have animals or just one for the very back. |

Thanks. I actually do have two labs as well; black and yellow, and I was wondering just that, if there was enough room for both of them. I don't think we would travel much with the baby and the dogs at the same, but it's good to know if there would be enough room. With my jeep its pretty tight for them both. The back seat kind of sits back and when you put up the dog gate it takes away a lot of room. Thanks for the info. on gas mileage, it's better than I thought. |
