How many of you enjoy watching a movie adapted from a book? If you do what movie do you think did the best job of staying true to the book. |

I can't stand reading a book that I've watched the movie for, or visa versa. I always HATE whichever I encounter second because it never is the way it "should" be in my head. I actually have a rule against doing this now. That's why I can never read the Harry Potter books--my husband and sons like watching the movies, so if I read the books, I would stand a large chance of violating my rule. |

I dont mind it. I like to see the way that they are differ each other. Most if the time the book is a whole lot better. |

I am the same as Indi, I will not see a movie that I have already read the book because it is never the same as in my head. the only exception I have ever made was the Chronicles of Narnia, but I read that series in elementary school so it did not bother me. |
