parenting twins IS hard! I was starting to think it was just me, that I'm not handling being a twin mom as well as I think I'm supposed to be. I'm glad I'm not alone. Sometimes, when I'm feeling sorry for myself, I keep thinking that I have to suck it up, especially when there are people out there with more multiples than me and more kids in addition to their multiples. I'm not very easy on myself and I'm not quick to give myself any credit. So just reading the description of this group makes me feel better. Being a multiple mom is HARD...but fun!
Anyway, I'm glad to be here. I have two boys that are almost two and couldn't be more different. This is difficult sometimes because I find myself comparing them to eachother, but I really do treasure their differences.
Looking forward to more twin conversations with everyone! Thanks! Amy |

Yep, it's definitely difficult at times. I have 27 month old boys. Also very different. For me, I have to make certain I get breaks every week as I'm at home with them and that can wear on you with no change of scenery. However, I love watching them grow and love the terrible 2's; I'm more worried about the terrible 3's!! Good luck and remember NO COMPARING:) ...and take breaks, you know when you need 'em! |

WOW I thought we were the only ones thinking this twins thing was hard! I have a boy and girl and they are 9 1/2 months old. They are crawling now and pulling up on everything. Sitting down and relaxing is no longer an option. We start at 7:00 am and don't stop until 9:00 pm. If we are lucky everyone sleeps without waking up but we're not lucky yet. My son still can't get himself to fall asleep if he wakes up in the middle of the night. Anyone have suggestions? My daughter wakes up at least once a night but only takes about 5 minutes to go back to sleep. Love to hear more from everyone!! |

I have adopted twin girls that are 25 mths old. Some days are great and other's are terrible. I struggle to be a good mom and some days I need a good cry. I love my little girls so much but crying and screaming tend to get me frustrated. The girls were taking 2 hr naps the first 3 mths we got them home, now they are down to at most a 1 hr nap.
The girls can be so sweet at times and at other times so difficult.
I just hope that once they can talk more, things get better.
Thanks, Danica |

Stephanie, Do you use "white noise"? I've always used a small table fan in my twins room. Also keep it dark. They have slept through the night since tiny babies, still do and still take 2-3 hour naps as well. They are 2 1/2. Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z:) Hope this helps, Robin |
