My daughter was just diagnosed with diabetes

My 3 year old daughter Alanna was just diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes a few weeks ago. It has been so difficult for us and especially for our dauther. It would be nice to talk to other parents that have diabetic children.

hello joleen! my daughter was diagnosed with type 1 when she was 2. that was 2 years ago. hang in there, the first few months are hell, but it does get easier. my best advice is to listen closely to what the doc's tell you, then find what works for you and your daughter. the worse mistake i made was to try carb-counting on raina. a child this young you can't carb-count on, because they burn sometimes more than they intake. what kind of insulin have they put her on?
