I just started looking up cloth diapers to try. Since I have a 14month old and a 2 month old, I would like the one-size fits all. Does anyone have recommandations? Do you know any where to get them cheaper then retail?

Hi Jessica, its great to see that you are venturing into the world of cloth diapering. I personally like Bum Genius One Size diapers - they are about $17 a piece but worth it. You can try www.diapperswappers.com it is a fast moving board but they have a great (FSOT) For Sale Or Trade section were you can get new or gently used diapers. Abby's Lane is a great store to check out I have bought off of her and she has great service. If you have any other question please let us know. |

I would try fuzzibunz they are great better than bum genius because they use snaps instead of velcro which becomes un-usable after a period of time. The best is that you can trade them in and use the rebated money to buy other sizes or prints. They give you 7.00 a diaper that is returned in good condition. So it adds up. I just replaced 18 diapers with a slightly larger size and the new version, and I got half off my order from returning the others. You can't do that with bum genius that I know about. I'm all about saving money. We love them. Even my nanny loves them and she is a total disposable all the way person. |

I wil admit I haven't tried fuzzi buns- I do agree snaps do last longer, though velco is easier for those that havent' used cloth before. I will have to look into the fuzzu buns. |

I actually purchased 12 Bum Genius One Size diapers, and been using them for the past 2 months. I find them a little tight on my 22lbs daughter but O well... We have to manage now. |

I took 15 regular Chinese fold cloth diapers and sewed in velcro tabs. I have inserts (10) for extra absorption that you can buy for about ten bucks for five. These work as a one size fits all. I have about five nice covers with snaps now. When he was smaller I used the cheap Gerber 3 pack plastic underpants 0-3 months. I wash all of it once a day .They have held up well. I have friends who bought the expensive ones and had to keep buying different sizes and they didn't hold up in the washer. |

If you want to find a really good price for dipes you should try affordablediapers.com...I'm not sure if they have one size dipes, but what they do have is about as cheap as you will ever be able to find it... also; if you have a yahoo account you can sign up for a group on there cally "Crunchy Co-op" they get wholesale prices on a lot of stuff including diapers...and it seems like they do cloth diapers a LOT! |
