I'm completely new to this site but I wanted to say hi and introduce myself. My name is Mindi, I'm a 30yr old first time mom to an amazing 14mo old litle girl Cheyenne. My husband and I have been married for 10 yrs now and our daughter is our pride and joy! My husband works pretty long days since he started up a business and most of the time it's just myself taking care of our daughter, man I didn't think it could be this exhausting! Before I had Cheyenne fitness was a HUGE part of my life and I dedicated so much time to it. I was a personal trainer until we moved to KY but trained people on the side along with my full time job. Since our schedules are crazy I only have time to train one person during the week and I don't even get to "train" myself anymore! I used to live at the gym and now I'm lucky if I get to go once during the week! I figured the only way I can really get back into fitness is to include my daughter. So I'm going to attempt the jogging stroller, anyone enjoy using these? I also just bought a backpack carrier to go hiking or just walking around different places with and tote her around with me. Does anyone have any experience using one of these? I'm sure it's a good workout. How does everyone else find time to workout if your nights are late and you already get up early for work? I never thought I would have this problem since I was always helping other people try and fit workouts into their schedule, it's harder once you're a mom! Now I know! :) Thanks for any advice and I look forward to meeting other moms!

Mindi,
WELCOME! I hear you.....I am lucky to get it 1 or 2 workouts/week and I used to think people who didn't work out were just finding excusses :)
I love my jogging stroller. Sometimes we walk, sometimes we run. My daughter really digs being outside and she also sleeps really well in it.
When......Oh, the question. I work full-time and struggle with the morning routine so I have been trying to go for a walk/run with my daugher after work for 30 or 45 min. before bath time. However, this darn spring weather has not been cooperating latly and it seems the evenings the weather is pretty we already have something planned. I guess I'll just keep trying. Maybe by encouraging each other we can find time to exercise with our little girls!

I too used to think the same thing about people making excuses, I never understood how they could not have time! Wow, I can't believe your daughter likes to sleep in the jogging stroller, that's great! If you think about it that would be nice for someone to cart you around in a comfy stroller enjoying the breeze and scenery! I think I'm going to have to keep the stroller in my car and on our way home stop somewhere and go jogging or hiking. That's about the only time we have but I guess it's the best time of day to get out though so that's good!
I agree, we can motivate each other and help each other stay on track! Have a great day!
