my 2 month old had severe acid reflux and had to be on AR Enfamil...this caused constipation, the Dr told us to use water and Apple Juice to relieve it....so in small doses its seems to be ok early. |

Our doctor told us at our daughter's 6 month check to start with some water and diluted juice in the sippy cup. She took to the water right away so I stuck with that for a bit because she tends to get bound up easily and I was happy she liked it so much. Now she is 9 months and drinks straight juice and can even take sips from a regular cup. |

My baby's pediatrician told us to only give him no more than 4 oz. of juice diluted with water (50/50) a day. He said the APA had recommended this. Also, he said apple, white grape, and pear are best with no more than 4 grams of sugar. Any more than that is too much. He also said the same for any baby foods and snacks. No one wants their baby to start the cravings at such a young age. Water is always best as well as formula. |
