Crying when I leave
So my 14 month old daughter just began to cry when I drop her off at the baby sitter's ( I unfortunately have to work part-time). My baby-sitter is a close family friend and she is great at distracted Leila so the crying always stops so after I leave.

My question is - Do I try to sneak out? or Do I say good-bye and wave letting her know I am leaving? I feel like sneaking out might be traumatizing for her. One minute I am there, then I am gone. Any ideas or advice?

I would definitely let her know that you are leaving. It may be hard to see you go, but, I think you are right about sneaking out being more traumatizing.
Say goodbye- but make it quick. If you seem upset, she will think that there is a reason for her to be upset. The bigger deal you make out of it, the worse it will be for her. She needs to see Mommy stay strong :)

I was always told to let the child know that your leaving but reassure them that you are coming back and if that don't work sometimes sneaking out works too
