It sure is very rewarding. You know with my first child I worked so I missed his first steps, but woth my daughter I stay home and this weekend i got to see her take her very first step. Yes it was a small step but it was a step. |

Very stressful at times, but I wouldn't change it for the world! I love being home with my children, although, I do miss adult conversation, not that talking about poo with my 3 year old isn't fun or anything:) |

I love being home with my kids. It wasnt my origional plan it just worked out that way. I do miss talking with other adults about things other than poop and people who arent really there (my daughter likes to make up friends and pets) and sometimes i feel like the walls of my house are closing in on me but when i look at some of the people that i know with small children that are in daycare 10 hours a day and and their parents are to tired to play at the end of the day i am glad that i can say that i dont have that problem. I think that most people who look at moms who stay home they think they dont do anything but sit around and do nothing but our job is 24/7. I find that even my hunsband looses that concept sometimes. During the day its playing and meals and laundry, dishes, cleaning diapers crying and so mch more and at night (my husband works nights and sleeps during the day) its feeding and going potty at 2am and sick children sometimes. Its never ending and thankless sometimes. So for all of you SAHMs keep up the good work. And try to remember that its all worth it in the end. :-) |
