I found out that a young girl that my son knows is playing a game called suck and blow with another boy, which i now know is a sexual game. I am concerned for this young girl and am not thrilled that my son is assocaiting himself with girls like this. What should I do? I feel like I need to let her parents know, but I am not sure and we have regulated my son's relationship with her to just school. What do you guys think?

You did not mention how old this girl was.15 certainly different than dealing with an 18 year old. I asked my husband and we both agreed that if our daughter was doing this sort of thing we would want to know (we have 3 sons - 17,18 and 21 and no daughters). It also depends on how well you know the parents of the girl. If you feel like you can approach them with this information expect them to either 1. not beleive you or 2. be upset that you were "in there business" or 3. thank you profusively for having told them... we always try to do what our conscience tells us too, but that is not always an easy call. I hope you will make the right decision and that this was somewhat helpful to you. |

My daughter is only 12, but we are certain that even if she were older we would want to know if she was doing something like this. We might be quite surprised and disbelieving to begin with, but we are both quite aware that our kids aren't exempt from the same pressures and temptations that other kids have. After other (thankfully less risky) behaviors came to light in both of our children, we were able to nip some behavior that could have really blossomed into something illegal and immoral.
You can always approach it from the viewpoint that this was what you heard, that you have no confirmation of it, and that if you were her parent you would want to know that people were saying that, so you decided to let HER parents know and trust that they will investigate further. |

I agree with Kelly to just let them know you heard a rumor about it and tell them that way. I would want to know this too as a parent. |

Thank you all...the girl is only two months older than my son who will be 13 in August. I have girls too and I would want someone to tell me, but I don't know her parents at all and I am still struggling with it...
