I know last year my son was a little over a year old and I let him do it himself, I just put a plastic tablecloth on the table and a painters bib on my son and let him do it himself and he loved it (his hands were stained for a few days but he had a great time)

I'm going to have my 2 year old son decorate with crayons then dye them after. Then we all can have fun!!!

My son is 2 1/2 and will be doing his own easter eggs. We didn't do them last year, so this is something new for him. I don't care if he gets messy, that's what baths are for. And the stain will eventually fade away. He'll have a blast!

I didnt let Lexi this yr.Shes just too young.Next yr maybe. My 3 other colored eggs w a friends 2 kids.I was reading all the sites that they have about Easter.I knew a partial story but couldnt remember why;after reading the sites now I remember the older story of Easter from different countries. Some countries the whole family participate in coloring eggs. They go all out w em.They use dyes on the eggs, have parties, and they have actual special games that they participate in w the eggs.I particularly loved the 1 about the bonnets and the hats.I had already heard the 1 about the starving settlers. Some stories are very spiritual.
